Mzuzukile Soni is a South African lawyer and entrepreneur who has spent over 20 years working where business and law meet. He advises founders and investors on deal negotiation, commercial and employment matters, and intellectual property, and he builds the platforms that put that support within reach of the people who usually go without it.

Before consulting, he held senior roles at IBM South Africa and Kyndryl, and worked in forensic compliance at Nedbank, giving him a corporate and risk grounding most founder-focused advisers do not have.

Mzuzukile is the founder of BrownSense Group, the entrepreneurial community he has grown to more than 224,000 members, and co-founder of The People's Fund, a crowdfunding platform that channels everyday capital into South African businesses. Through The StartUp Legal, his consultancy, he gives startups and SMEs the kind of legal backing usually reserved for larger companies: simple, practical and priced to work at their stage.

His real strength is closing the gap between the law and the people who have to live with it. He has structured deals, drafted the systems that keep young companies safe, and shown founders how to bootstrap without trading away control. His work sits at the meeting point of community building, SMME funding and accessible legal services, with a clear focus on advancing Black-owned enterprise across Africa.
